He is known for his unique perspective towards his delivery of a movie. He doesn’t really concentrate the commercial output from a movie, rather he makes sure that his movie leave an impression on people and with every movie he makes sure it is different. Puri is based from Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh. He worked as assistant director under Ram Gopal Varma for a lot of movies. His directorial debut was with Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai’s Badri, which gave a huge hit. He also made films in Bollywood one being The Challenge and the other was with Amitabh Bachchan’s Buddha Hoga Tera Baap, the movie wasn’t a commercial hit but was archived in the Oscar Library. He won 3 Nandi Awards and 1 Filmfare award. He is married to Lavanya and have 2 kids Akash and Pavitra
