Direction: Shoubin Shahir’s directional debut is no less than a perfectly crafted movie. The unexpected twists and gripping screenplay made it engaging and hocked one’s self away from distraction. The realistic and natural approach glued the attention and connected us even more to the characters. It is really hard to engage the audience without any lead pair, but Soubin mastered in it. The metaphoric representation of Shane’s character as a pigeon blew our minds.
Cinematography: Apart from the direction, Littil Swayamp cinematography helped a lot in conveying the right message to the audience. Shooting in rustic and realistic locations made it even more appealing. Though usage of this type of camera technique is very rarely seen in Indian cinema, his sheer brilliance in terms of cinematography and execution mesmerized the viewer.
Performances: Every character in this movie shows us what real acting is all about. Especially the two boys played by Amal Shah as Irshad and Govind V Pai as Haseeb owned us with their sheer performance. Shoubin and Sreenath as drug addicts made us hate them from the very first scene of theirs. Shane Nigam as Shane made us blush, angry and helpless with his brilliant acting skills.
Dulquer Salmaan: Though Dulquer played a cameo in this movie, his presence attracted a wider audience base to showcase the story. It takes guts to play the character of this sort but, Dulquer perfectly portrayed his role with ease. This attempt connected us even more to his character and movie.
Music: Rex Vijayan and Neha Nair’s mesmerizing music travelled with us right from the start of the movie and helped us transport into their world.
The music beautifully complemented the perfectly shot frames, enhancing the experience of the viewer.
