When Savitri comes to our minds, the next actress we think about is Keerthy Suresh. Her charisma, her skills and her humbleness that comes out with her acting, is something very rare to find in young actresses. In the same year she starred in Remo, which was released in more than 1 language and then she never had to look back. Her major hit was Mahanati in Telugu and Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil. It was biopic of Actress Savitri. The whole movie was filled with both, her success as well as her failures and dark side. Dulquer Salman, starred as Gemini Ganesan. Keerthy had to take several months of training to enact like Savitri and to learn Telugu. She even had to lose and gain weight rapidly for the role. This movie shows, how committed Keerthy is, towards her work. It bought her many awards like, National Award for best actress, 8th South Indian International Movie Award for Best Actress 66th Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress.
