Prabhas, when his name comes to our minds, there is only one picture, tall and muscular. The roles he has chosen, are that powerful. He is one of those actors in the Indian Film Industry, who have dedicated their lives only to bring life to the roles. He is known for working hard before even getting into the role, to get the perfection that the roles need. He is the son of producer U. Surya Narayana Raju and nephew of Krishnam Raju, who was one of the superstars in Tollywood. He is also known to be a great friend among other actors. His simplicity is something about him that is most attractive. He is very soft-spoken and a no-nonsense actor who is equally good with his fans. His down-to-earth attitude is something that is always spoken off, by any actor who works with him. His working style is kind of different from those of others, his arrival to sets is early, and comes completely prepared. He calls everyone “Darling” irrespective of the person’s whereabouts. He is also an ardent fan of food and treats everyone every day on the sets. He tries to make everyone happy around him.
He debuted in Tollywood with the movie Eshwar directed by Jayanth C Paranjee. In this movie, he has a macho look with mass body language. Though the movie wasn’t a huge hit, it brought a good name for Prabhas’s acting. The music was by R P Pattnaik and comedy was a highlight in this movie. He then starred in Raghavendra, which didn’t get much of acclaim. Then came the Varsham movie, which rocked Prabhas’s world. The movie was directed by Sobhan and produced by MS Raju. This movie was a stage for Prabhas to showcase his talent in totality. His dance moves with Trisha, fight scenes with Gopichand, and his dialogue timing with Prakash Raj, everything was perfectly fit. It was a blockbuster hit in Tollywood and people still look up to this movie. After a few other flops, then came Bujjgadu, directed by Puri Jagannadh. This movie stood out with its story and Prabhas’s acting. Though Prabhas did few mass roles in his past, he put everything to make this work as a huge hit. Then followed major hits- Billa, Ek Nirajan, Darling, Mr. Perfect, and Mirchi. With each movie and each type of role, he proved that he is one of those stars, who can bring in charm yet mass action to his roles. After 2 years’ break, Baahubali came. The audience was eager to see him in a dual role and Rajamouli didn’t disappoint too. His roles required immense weight transformation and learning of different slang of language with a different set of martial arts and Prabhas put in a maximum of his efforts. It is said that he is one of the patient actors who wait for the results slowly and maintains his consistency. After the movie was left on the cliff of “Who killed Bhaahubali” the eagerness in the audience increased more for Baahubali: The Conclusion. This movie was a super hit and stood out in the history of Indian Cinema. Again, after a 2 years’ break, Saaho came in. This was trilingual and was not as good as it was expected to be. The movie was adapted from Hollywood movies and was different for the audience. His upcoming projects are Adipurush directed by Om Raut. The movie is expected to be an action-romantic genre, produced by Bhushan Kumar. The other much-awaited project is Prabhas-Nag Ashwin- Deepika Padukone combination. The name is not yet decided, Singeetham Srinivas will be mentoring for this movie.
