Anandam, a movie which takes us on a ride filled with memories of happiness, joy and all feelings which define comfort as it makes you miss the days which have already passed by and makes the people want to enjoy them while they last.
The movie starts off with a group of four friends who are also engineering students and how their life goes on. One of them is a really sincere student, while one is the jovial one and backs the group up, another is the scaredy-cat and the last one is living in denial.
Their life somehow changes when the permission to go on an Industrial Visit Tour is granted and they make plans to visit Hampi and Goa as they aren’t just popular places but also serve the purpose of the tour.
As the tour goes on, the different storylines are seen simultaneously, each character experiencing something new and making something memorable as they went around the historical places in Hampi and to many other places later. A few fell in love maybe for the first time while the one already in love acknowledged their partner and what they wanted while others just went on a journey to become a better person and just collecting the moments.
This film showed us how important friendship is, that friends will always have your back no matter what happens, even if they have to be blunt and ruin their own image, they’d always knock sense into you when you are going astray, this friend was Kuppi in the movie, his character was not just a jester in the movie but played an important role in helping everyone actually realise what it is that matters. And there were Gautham, Akshay and Varun who told the viewers that change might seem scary and you might sometimes feel like running away from the problem rather than facing it but you need to act and realise to not define one’s self to a certain pattern and explore beyond the territory.
The cute little moments between Diya and Akshay showed the viewers how love can’t just be an attraction, it’s noticing something for what they really are and continuing to do without bothering about the backstory or the scars.
This movie also is very delightful to watch and there are many moments filled with lighthearted comedy without just bring a bright smile on the viewer’s face and remind them of similar instances they might’ve experienced in real life.
On the whole, this movie is worth a watch if you love to go back and revisit those gold old days and feel like having a trip down the memory lane.
