The movie was unlike many other movies of patriotism and broke every record possible. This film was completely different than an average Bollywood film, it had a patriotic feel making every Indian’s heart swell with pride as they watched the movie. Based on true incidents, this movie shows us the story of not just one man who was defamed for being a traitor and letting the other country win, it showed us the stories of 11 young aspiring women who’s life was something more than just being a player.

This movie dealt with concepts of sexism, religious and racial differences so beautifully explaining each of them and how dangerous they are for a healthy society and leaves a message for the audience to acknowledge what’s wrong and to be a better citizen and also to not judge anyone just based on what they have heard because no one knows what one has went through. This movie also showed us that determination is the key to success and team work is the most important thing when it comes to playing a sport and to be believe in the fact that dreams come true, they may take longer than usual but in the end, the result of one’s hardwork is worth it.

This movie till date makes all its viewers emotional as it comes to the end, the journey a viewer goes through will watching this movie is one of a kind, it almost feels like the viewer are a part of the team and not just sitting and watching the movie. This movie was one of the first movies to highlight our country’s national game, hockey and led to inspire many youth to take part in the game and led to many entries from our country into international competitions. This movie is something which connects with the viewer’s heart and one of the many films to revolve around women and spoke about women employment.

The cast did an amazing job to keep the audience engaged as the movie went on, let it be Shahrukh Khan who played Kabir Khan or be Vidya Malvade who played the captain of the team, Vidya Sharma, all of them did justice to their characters and didn’t let the movie lack the energy it required to be such a upbeat classic.
