Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, this film released in 2008 and it amazed its viewers with a storyline between two friends who were somehow repulsed by the idea of believing that fact they developed feelings for each other and made the wrong choices, this is something basic but what made it beautiful was how the pair always made each other happy and how they also ended up being the reason to hurt the other. This film had it’s own level of drama along with whatever it tried to present as realistic. There are moments in this film which make us appreciate the other characters and their storylines too which was something different to see. This film was something which showed the viewers the consequences of one’s actions and also gave them an idea on how to not act based on the moment and rethink our choices before we make final decisions.
The film had a realistic feel when it came to a group of friends and how they always had each other’s back. This film also showed the viewers how sometimes no one can choose what’s right and what’s wrong at the very earliest. It also made the viewers appreciate people who they call as a family who one may not acknowledge as something that will matter but when in need, family and friends never leave one’s side and knock proper sense into one. This film was dramatic in its own way with characters being a little ignorant but that was something which kept the viewers hooked up till the last with the only wish to see the pair end up together.
This film also had its own sense of humour, rather lighthearted, not overly done and basic. The actors, Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza were amazing in their own shoes portraying Jai and Aditi as the polite and the aggressive ones respectively. The supporting cast along did an amazing, from the apparent villain, Sushant, played by Ayaz Khan to the worried and understanding mother played by Ratna Pathak Shah and stars like Naseeruddin Shah who played the role of comic relief for a while just as amazingly. This film also had a really good background score and songs which fit in perfectly in the sequences.
This film on the whole celebrated friendship of all kinds and how friends look out for each other, some fall in love but that’s alright. This film is something good to watch on a weekend to just look at the screen and get lost in a world where two friends discover what they feel for each other.
